Déplaçant 10.076 tonnes pour 4300 chevaux à une vitesse supérieure de 12 noeuds, sa longueur était de 153 m pour 18 de large, Il entra en service en 1912. En 1935, il fut racheté par le gouvernement italien qui le désarma, le rebaptisa Umbria et le ré-équipa en transporteur de troupe.
